We bake with intention β€” every loaf, every batch, every morning.

At The Wooden Spoon, we don't rush the process. Our sourdough ferments 48 hours. Our pastries are laminated by hand. Our pantry is stocked with what we'd serve our own families.

Our Philosophy

Good food doesn't compromise β€” and neither do we.

Slow Fermentation

Every loaf begins with a wild yeast starter we've cultivated for years. 48-hour cold fermentation develops flavor no shortcut can match.

Hand-Laminated

Our croissants are folded and turned by hand β€” 27 layers of butter and dough, every single morning. No shortcuts, no machines doing the work.

Curated Pantry

Our grocery section features only what we trust β€” small-batch preserves, local honey, artisan cheeses, and staples we'd keep in our own kitchen.

What We Make

Our Story

Built on the belief that what you eat matters β€” and so does how it's made.

The Wooden Spoon started with a simple conviction: that Jackson deserves a place where bread isn't just baked, but considered β€” where every ingredient has a story, and every product on our shelves would earn a spot in our own home.

We opened our doors on King Road with flour on our aprons and nothing to prove but the quality of what we put out. That hasn't changed. Our ovens fire at dawn. Our starters are fed daily. Our suppliers are people we know by name.

Whether you're stopping in for a single croissant or building a pantry for the season, we're here β€” and we're glad you came.
